AVAHO Foundation Special Project Grant Application
The AVAHO Foundation will consider funding grants to AVAHO members who have maintained a minimun one year active membership. The grant purpose aims to assist with implentation of projects that will improve care for Veterans living with a diagnosis of cancer. Projects will only be considered if submitter is an employee of the VA and has written facility support of project implementation. Funding is subject to the discretion of the Foundation Board of Directors based on need, but most will range between $5,000 and $10,000. Funding application period is Sept-Sept each year and subject to change each year.

Applications will be reviewed by the AVAHO Foundation Board and consideration will be prioritized based on:

* Innovation
* Practicality of project and facilities ability to sustain project
* Relevace/Impact to Veterans living with a cancer diagnosis
* Projects is not considered research and does not require IRB approval, as defined in the VHA Handbook definition of "research"
